Locality Profiles

Our Locality Profiles help local and regional decision makers to better understand their local area. The profiles draw together a wide range of information from over 40 data sources into a simple-to-use, graphical format, showing data at locality, ward and school level.

Our Locality Profiles present data at the school and neighbourhood level, to show differences in contexts and need across a local authority or region. The Profiles therefore provide a robust evidence base for:

Planning and commissioning services
Demonstrating impact and effectiveness
Identifying strengths and weaknesses in performance

The Profiles are used by decision makers, policy advisers and analysts in schools, children’s centres, local authorities, regional partnerships and other local stakeholders.

Information on early years take-up and school pupil characteristics in each area, including SEN, FSM and ethnicity

Statistics including obesity, A&E attendance and more to highlight key health issues in each area

Information about children in need, child well-being and crime in each area

Attainment, attendance and exclusions in primary and secondary schools in each area
