SEND Dashboard

Our SEND Dashboard Service brings together data from over 100 sources to give a single, consistent picture of on SEND in your local authority or region. This supports local authority SEND leaders and regional partnerships with decision-making, more effective planning and oversight, and preparation for Area SEND Inspections.

With SEND cohorts growing and the system becoming increasingly complex, it can be very difficult for busy SEND leaders to stay on top of all aspects of their service. Our SEND Dashboard is a one-stop shop for all the most important information on your SEND service, allowing you to quickly understand strengths and weaknesses, monitor progress, and inform your reporting and self-evaluations.

The SEND Dashboard compares indicators over time and against England, regional, and statistical neighbour averages, highlighting ranks in the top or bottom quartile. The Interactive SEND Dashboard allows users to go further, drilling-down into the data behind the headline messages, for example exploring school-level data or adding combinations of pupil characteristics.

To ensure that you have the most up to date analysis, we provide updated SEND Dashboards five times per year to align with key data releases such as the SEN2 return data on EHCP cohorts.

The data presented in the Dashboard covers:
